Badger HD had a shop seminar with a few stations detailing their services. One of witch was a audio station. With a demonstration of stock speakers, boom speakers, amplified boom speakers and amplified gen 2 boom speakers. The gen 2 amplified speakers sounded Amazing compared to the first gen boom audio.

I wanna hear this setup or get some feedback from folks whom have used quality aftermarket speakers and amps.

Bluebowtie did they say anything about an ungraded bracket that is plastic that the amp sets on or around the head unit? I heard the metal one's some are breaking.

Nope the parts manager was the one running that station I don't care for him to much so I waited till he left and played with the display myself

we are right in the middle of doing the complete comparison video now between the J&M ROKKER EXTREME and the new Harley BoomII ,,,,, interesting results already! ,,,,

I can tell you that the Harley Boom II is certainly an improvement over boom I ,,, but not nearly up to the output of the ROKKER XX EXTREME stuff ,,,,,,

the new Harley BOOM II is also very, very bright, almost too bright to the point that you almost cover your ears & ask yourself WHERE the bass response went ,,,,,, where the ROKKER EXTREME system has very good dynamic range from deep bass to the top end ,,,,

I am right now in the middle of a 12+ hour durability test on the new BOOM II system in a 2015 RoadGlide ,,,,,

as I said in my previous post, volume available is much improved over BOOM I, but the BOOM II system is overly BRIGHT, way to many highs, especially at maximum volume with a significant reduction in overall bass response ,,, really kind of tinny sounding ,,,,,,

but something else is also popping up which I am trying to understand ,,,,, the new BOOM II system keeps shutting off & on randomly when running at maximum volume for extended periods and I want to ask if anyone else here on the forums that has the new BOOM II is having this same issue when running at max volume down the highway ? ,,,,,,

jmjohn- Thanks for all the testing on the systems. many of us are quite interested.

we completed the 14 hour durability test this morning on the BoomII and all survived, however at the end of 14 hours at maximum volume, the music was still randomly pulsing up/down in volume depending upon the intensity of the soundtrack, but if we lowered the volume to 1/2, then the pulsing was gone ,,,,,,,

I did the highway test with a shorty helmet that gave me open ears, and I could enjoy the music up to about 70mph with the new BoomII system, above which it was more difficult to tell exactly what song was playing ,,,,,

also ,, and I had heard this on the forums previously, the AVC (auto volume control) in the Harley radio no longer functions with the BoomII amp and speakers installed ,,,, kind of strange I thought and I can only assume that Harley will address this with future flashes ,,,,,

jmjohn- Thanks for the testing. Does your FLHX Kit installed require the Harley download and does the AVC still operate??

I had my system next to a RG with Boom II.... no comparison... even the HD techs were blown away

I've got a bro in Louisiana with a 15 roadglide and boom 2 with amp...I wasn't impressed. I think they are still working out the kinks. Probably needs a re flash. I will have the J&M Rokker xx stuff this weekend...I'll let y'all kno what my results are. Tried focal and alpine amp on last bike and ended up using stock speakers till they burnt up and going with hog tunes speakers...loud but no dynamic range or warmth. Fingers crossed for the jm kit....I'm sure I'll be happy

Got a bro in Louisiana having the same problem... Bossier City hd told him they would need to "re flash it" after they installed and tested it. Apparently harleydavidson messed something up...I've been emailing back and forth with ha and looking forward toi installing your kit this weekend...just in time before my honeymoon
