For those that have been waiting for complete audio KITS for your new StreetGlide, the very first of what will be available are listed on this new J&M website family page http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=55 ,,,,,,,,

when you click on any of the individual kits on this page, you also get the Harley Radio dealer flash parameters for using almost any aftermarket amplifier connected to your audio system ,,,,

I also hope to have another good video done by late February showing comparison tests between the new J&M ROKKER EXTREME stuff and the Harley stock, boom upgrades and boom II upgrades ,,,,

This looks interesting, pending more feedback this might be my system for the summer!

speed4tu ,,,,,

we are right in the middle of doing the complete comparison video now between the J&M ROKKER EXTREME and the new Harley BoomII ,,,,, interesting results already! ,,,,

I can tell you that the Harley Boom II is certainly an improvement over boom I ,,, but not nearly up to the output of the ROKKER XX EXTREME stuff ,,,,,,

the new Harley BOOM II is also very, very bright, almost too bright to the point that you almost cover your ears & ask yourself WHERE the bass response went ,,,,,, where the ROKKER EXTREME system has very good dynamic range from deep bass to the top end ,,,,

Thanks for the update. I look forward to the comparison video! I saw the display of the new boom stuff in a dealership but rather have more real world experience and a comparison than a store display.

oh you are so correct ,,,, matters not what the store display sounds like, what really counts is how it sounds on the highway ,,,,,

I'll be at 600 watts by the end of next week...lol

I could see some one here trying to fit an ambulance package alternator to their SG. ;)

Do I hear 700 watts? Any one, going, going..... lol

LOL ,, that is why I like you guys ! ,,,,,

Audio volume on a motorcycle is like horsepower, there is never enough !!,,,,,,

but you are right, at some point in the audio amplifier RMS power race, you are going to run out of charging system ,,,,,,,

the J&M digital switching class G amp at 500W RMS Continuous, draws as much current on average, at wide open volume as a 360w RMS class D amplifier (about 12-15 amps),,,,,, because the class D does not use the exotic type of power supply that the class G does ,,,,,

that is also why the class D amps are cheaper to build and purchase than the class G amps on average ,,,,,

is 600w+ RMS Continuous power coming in the future from ONE amplifier that will fit inside the Harley fairing ? maybe, but certainly not anytime in 2015 ,,,,,

also remember, do not be impressed with max power numbers like Harley uses on their amps ,,,,, honest and real RMS continuous power ratings for an amplifier is what you want to look at when comparing ,,,,

My bike already has the upgraded boom speakers and I am thinking of an amp. I just want some more volume not really interested in changing the speakers and everything at this time. Will the performance series two channel amp do the trick and is it plug and play without flashing the radio? Or can my boom speakers handle the rocker amp. Whatever insight you have is much appreciated!

Crumb ,,,

our performance series amp will work fine with your Boom speakers http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=JMAA-1800HC14 ,,,,, but I don't think they would last very long when connected to the big J&M ROKKER amplifier at 125w RMS per channel ,,,,

also ,, no flash from Harley needed ,,,,,,

Bill ,,,,,,

you are right ,,, and not at this point anyway ,,,,,,,

very hard to beat the fairing mounted 500w RMS J&M ROKKER XTP amp powering 4, 6 or 8 speakers on your bike ,,,,,,,,
