We'll the time finally came. It would have came in August but project Rushmore hadn't been revealed yet. We'll wife and I had settled on a BMW K1600GTL after much research. Was suppose to be our getaway bike. Wasn't my first choice but I wanted to make sure the wife was comfortable while riding and she chose the BMW over the 2013 Ultra Limited. For the same price BMW gave a bang for the buck. Now fast forward 7 months. Wife wants a divorce BMW is now sold and now I have my choice in a ride. Can't wait till next weekend to pick it up. Now if only winter would just go away. First big trip was already planned at Xmas and in 19 days we will be off to Laughlin Nev. for the River Run.

I almost bought another BMW but chose a 2014 SGS. Hope to ride it in a couple weeks after the snow melts away. Got mine set-up to ride solo - wife stays home.

Thank you everyone. 3 more days before I get to pick up my ride. And by the looks of things weather is finally turning into our favor. Now for the city to get rid of all the gravel on the roads and the cagers to begin learn quickly on how to pay attention all of us riders who share the road.
