Happy Holiday's Everyone!
I decided to put 10 inch bars on my 2014 SGS! Would love to see pics if you went this direction! I want my hands behind the fairing reason for 10's. I had PY monkey bars on my King and I really liked those! So if you have any pics you could post if not to much trouble I would very much appreciate it! Any brand you suggest or have I'm open to as well!

thanks
Rick

I’ve got 10 inch LA choppers in mine, big improvement over stock.

I put 13" Road Six Holey Roller Bagger Bars on my '14. I've put apes on three bikes now and these were by far the easiest to wire. Road Six made these bars to match the contour of our fairings and they did a stellar job. If you do your own work and are not entirely sure how to get this done, they have an excellent video that walks you through the entire process from the first bolt to the last as well including how to reroute your hydraulics to accommodate the higher bars. I could have actually gone with 14's. For reference, I'm 6 feet tall and these bars put my hands just slightly above the fairing reaching straight off my shoulders. I hated reaching down for my OEM bars. I thin this was one of the first things I did to my ride when I bought it. Good luck! IMG_0125.jpgIMG_0130.jpgIMG_0140.jpg

I also went with LA Choppers 10" bars in black.....love it, 12" would have been better however then it'll be above the bat wings which is what I am trying to avoid.

I went with the 10" Chubby W0578 … love the bars. (Website: wild1inc).com
Did a 3000 mile trip from So. Cal. to Montana in Sept. temp was 115 degrees to 30 degrees with Rain and Hail. no problem with cold fingers.
definitely took the slouch out of my back.3.jpg

Just ordered a set of KST! I inquired about the bars and the response time was incredibly fast! Ret was very helpful with all my questions and now I feel very informed about my decision! I'll post pictures after I get the job done! Merry Christmas to me!
If your in the market for bars they just posted a sale for the holidays!

Are you getting 10" or 12"?

I'm going with 10's! I went to the local dealer and sat on a couple bikes that had after market bars done and I preferred the position of my arms with the 10's plus they keep my hands behind the fairing! I'm 5'8' average reach I have a solo C&C seat that puts me about inch lower in seating position! I'm pumped on my decision and as I had mentioned before speaking with the folks at KST and discussing my options I know I made a good choice! Plus they look awesome!

Yes 10" is good if you want your hands behind fairing, I did their 12" bars but for me at six foot tall I love the feel. You'll love your choice

I went with 12” meat hooks original plan was to go with 10” to keep hands behind fairing but the 12s keep my arms shoulder level very comfortable

I did the 12" LA Choppers. My hands are above the fairing but it does handle so much better.
