We replaced the handle bars on our 2012 Electra Glide classic. After replacing them the bike would not start. It attempts to turn over and you can hear compression from through the tail pipes like a thumping. You can hear the fuel pump engage as well but it just won't kick over. We have checked the wires several times. Repaired any areas that appeared scraped. We also replaced the spark plugs, gas and TBW sensor. If we put gas on the spark plugs it does start up for a second but then of course dies out. Any ideas? We have also checked the fuses.

One thing you might try is to pit bike in diagnostic mode. If you know how to do this you can then read the DTC codes this may help in telling you where the problem may be. Holding the “Trip Odometer Reset switch” while turning the bike on will put bike in diagnostic mode. I have attach some photos from my electrical diagnostic manual. Make sure to write down any code that you find. Hope this helps.
