Ok guys to I was on my way home from work today, as I was slowing down for a light from 60ish, the bike made a really loud mettalic clang at around 15. So loud I thought I ran over sheetmetal and it bounced up. Looked back didn't see anything. Then it started clanking if I let off the throttle and got back on it. Even very slight decel to accel.

Even in my driveway in first gear 20 feet from my garage. Let off and roll back on, loud clunking. I checked rear sprocket and it's tight.

It almost sounds like a truck with REALLY bad universal joints.

Any ideas? I will be taking it in this week.

I would park it and have your dealer come get it.

Kind of what I was thinking. It almost sounds like it's in the tranny.

From what your describing, it sounds serious. Brake calipers tight?

Brake calipers are tight. Rear sprocket is tight. Front rotors have a little play in them when twisted. But the bolts for the rotors are tight. She'll be getting sent in. I'll call today

Sounds similar to what my '15 did when the tranny went out with 650 miles on it! Dealer said it was the compensator nut. Wrong! Drained the tranny and chunks of metal came out. A clip broke and took out 2nd and 3rd gear. Had to limp it to the dealer. I have never heard of another Rushmore bike doing that. Hope you are not the second!
