A night to remember...Semper Fi

I have to share this...being Marine Corp Birthday and Veterans Day back to back..

About 40 of us got together to celebrate our 240th Marine Corp birthday last night

We did the usual ceremonial agenda of reading the the message from our Commandant and proceeded to the cake cutting....28 year Recon SGTMAJ cut the cake.. who gives the first piece to the oldest Marine present... this is where I got goose bumps...

We had the honor and privilege to have WORLD WAR II Marine Veteran SGT Mo Harun with us last night... 88 years old.. he stood and fought at the The Battle of Iwojima!

It's was a touching ceremony.... we watched the Commandant's video afterward... where they tell the history of Our Beloved Corps. As the video played, and pics of Iwojima were displayed, telling the history... a tear ran down SGT Harun's cheek as he bowed his head. We all huddled around him to let him know we had his back... HE WASN'T ALONE.....

There wasn't a dry eye in the room...

You have no idea!!! It was awesome! And what a GREAT GENTLEMAN!!! Full of life and humor to boot!

HE was eyeballin one of our Brother's wives... and said," I may be an old man... but I still love lookin' at hot chicks! " LMAO!!!! We died laughing!!!!

That is awesome what a great time it must have been. And that just proves Marines will be chasing hot chicks till the day we die. Semper Fi brothers and sisters. And to all the others on this site that have served in any Branch of our countries armed forces THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and GOD BLESS you all. (Sorry for the slight hijack Spazz but had to pay respects to all of our vets)
