bought a used set of Inner Fairing Mount Mirrors and they work good...

but I noticed that my right is more loose than the left (the slightest knock moves it) Specially as I have them on KST drop brackets.

Removed it at the weekend, but couldnt see a way to adjust what appears to be a sealed plastic thread all the way into the mirror

Any way to tighten up the 'ball joint' or however its fixed to that mounting thread?

TIA

Never messed with one of these yet but if it will come apart you may be able to add something to the inside to tighten it up in the socket. The one's I have worked on before won't take much to tighten it up could be just cleaning it up will work.

thats my problem, it doesn't seem to come much more apart (and monkey boy here, can break most things apart) so thought i'd ask before tears

the plastic thread seems to be solid into the back of the mirror. Yet the mirror moves on some sort of axis. There is a small opening at the base of the thread where it joins, but I didn't want to jam a driver into it and break anything

If I'm not way off base here there is a ball and socket set up in there but not sure which side is which. Worst thing I guess if you break it is having to get another one. The other brackets stay tight I'm guessing.
