Not going totally blacked out but have been slowly having a few parts gloss black powder coated, have a few more I'm wanting done over the winter.
Next is going to be engine guard & highway pegs.

Problem is when to have more powder coating done I'll ride in the cold long as no ice on the roads.

I've been doing this myself with self-etching primer and epoxy appliance paint, but not too happy with how some of the paint cracks when tightening the fasteners back down, so I think I'm gonna have the stuff powder coated.

So I want to ask...with the lights, did you have to remove the electrical guts prior? Did you have the hardware powder coated? How does it hold up when you tighten down the fasteners? Did you have to do anything to the parts before you sent it out, or do they usually do it all?

They guy im using to do the powder coating is de-pinning the turn signals powder coating them putting everything back as it should be before mailing the parts back.
I did nothing to them before mailing them out other then removing bulbs and lenses.

tightened down the four nuts for the front signals with no problem, no damage to coating.
Its taking about 7 days from when i send them out tell back to me completed.
He lives in S. C. I'm in southern IL.
