Ive had my strret glide since june of 2012, ive got around 5300 miles on it and my bike is currently in shop to receive my 5th front tire due to side wall cracks, is anyone else having this problem? Or is no one else checking their tires as closely as i am. This has got to be a wide spread problem, my original tire had cracks around 1300 miles and seems like im getting about that many out of each tire before it starts cracking. How dangerous is this problem, and why hasnt harley done some kind of recall???

I had the same problem with my first tire. I think Dunlop has/had a recall dealing with this problem.
I have a 12 FLHXSE3 about 14 months old, with 9800miles on it. while waxing my front wheel I found "grand canyon" cracks in the side wall. Took it to the dealership and they replaced it under warranty. this was last weekend.
I had been using the New Armorall Wheel protector and I thought that maybe this was the cause. because it did over spray onto the tire sidewall... Thoughts???
