On Friday last a friendly truck driver turned right in front of me, and I ended up in the side of him.

Only a broken arm and torn shoulder ligament, but the old girl has has had to be euthanized.

Rebuild and parts came to over $12,500, so insurance is paying for a new bike.

I got an unrepeatable offer on a new 2016 Road Glide that will be here tomorrow, but I cant ride it for 6 weeks until the plaster cast comes off.

I've got to say that this forum has members with the greatest of knowledge and it's been a pleasure interacting with you, but now I'm off to the Road Glide forum.

Live to ride, and ride with pride.

Glad you will be ok, sounds like it's working out for you and your new bike.

Glad you are ok and nothing more serious.

As far as the Road Glide... I made the switch... you will be pleasantly surprised at the differences.... once you have some seat time... it will be evident. Hit me up on the Road Glide Forum... I'm there as well

So sorry to hear about the accident @slimboybinz but am glad to hear you are ok. Although it totally SUCKS about your ride, at least it can be replaced unlike yourself. That being said, we'll miss you on the Street Glide Forum but we do look forward to seeing you over on the Road Glide Forum. Both of these forums have been great to us and I'm sure you'll find the folks at the RG Forum just as helpful as all the great people here.

Best of luck on the new Road Glide!!

Lindsey :0)

Sorry to hear of your misfortune and glad you are doing better HOWEVER . . . . remember the major difference between the RG and the SG is the fairing. You're still welcome here!

Get well soon. Enjoy the RG. I know a couple of guys who bought RG's, but to me the SG is a much nicer looking bike. We all have different likes, that's why God made blondes, brunettes and redheads.

Brother Slim,
So glad your able to hop back on the horse no matter what color the fairing. Heal well and ride free and safe.
Enjoy your new ride

Best Always,

Blues

Sorry to hear about your misfortune hoping you heal and get back into the wind soon. You can still hang around here when you want and maybe share some of your knowledge.
