Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking about picking one up, but I'm on the fence about going the old reliable knob style, or the fancy smart phone controlled one.

I just plugged mine in and took what it gave me....I was toasty most of the time.

I thought about buying one and did not. Here's why: Need to keep phone inside coat or in saddle bags with no access to change the temp as needed unless I stop. When I do stop, using the touch portion of the phone is going to be harder with the gloves on. Pain in the rear to take the heated stuff off for a short time if you do not have to.

Other than that, it sounds awesome but I decided to stay with the knob style thermostat even though it is clunky and likes to unclip itself occasionally.

I have the new Harley heated liner with the thermostat built in I really like it

I have the Powerlet heated glove and Jacket liners and wear them with my choice of leather gloves.
I've had my BT controlled heated gear for 2 years now . . . . love it!
