So why does every customer have to have their own tuner. This is a money generator for the MoCo. I should be able to take my tuner and let anyone who has a bike from 2007 through 2019 borrow my tuner to tune their bike.

There is no reason everyone needs to buy a tuner .. and whats worse, the dealerships should have their own tuner.

What a load of bull !!

Not only is it a money earner for Harley but (IMHO) the latest ones are virtually useless.

I have to disagree about the Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner being "virtually worthless".

I just picked up a 2019 Heritage Softail with the 114 cu in engine. I put 7300 miles on it over the past 4 weeks and I can say it runs GREAT!

I had only three mods done to the engine: S&S EPA compliant slip-on mufflers with catalytic converters in them; H-D stage II Torque Cam; Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner with the Smart Tune Pro Automatic Tuning Module. The bike has the stock air cleaner. It is fully EPA compliant and the Warranty is intact.

The bike was tuned on a dynamometer by the dealer. The H-D tuner can adjust both Volumetric Efficiency and Spark Timing as well as the Throttle Progressivity. This is all that is needed for a great running bike.

Here you can see the fuel table for the bike which can not be changed (to remain EPA compliant). It is not at all too lean as many people suggest.

Here is the SAE dynamometer performance chart. STD performance, as many report, would be over 105 HP and 123 TQ.

same with Dynojet Power Vision- Every bike must register with Dynojet to tune bike, even though 1 person holds the PV-1 module to flash the bike with, Dynojet will get their $199.00 registration fee regardless. (everyone is in your pocket with HD)… LOL,,

Hulkss- You're one of the most knowledgeable people in our forums as you've proved any times and helped countless members.
Respectfully I still stand by my comments regarding the HD tuner. That being said-I decided to leave my latest bike stock not only because of possible warranty ramifications but also to ease prior pain on my wallet! No braggin rights issues here and it runs fine enough for me.

Hi Mojo, Yep stock bikes run pretty good and save LOTS of money.

I just found out from Dynojet and Fuel Moto that the PowerVision tuner will work with the H-D Smart Tune Pro Module that converts the bike to Wideband O2 sensors. Finally a solution for riders of modified bikes to road-tune their engines over the entire operating envelope.

Q: Is PowerVision compatible with the H-D Smart Tune Pro wideband module?

Fuel Moto: Yes we can set up the power vision mapping to use the smart tune module and sensors.

Dynojet: Thank you for your inquiry. We have not tested it in house, but we have had several customer say they have used the Power Vision on bikes that have had the Smart tune pro installed. All they had to do was use a copy of the original tune from the bike they were working on. This of course has to have been flashed with the street tune pro to turn on the Wide Band sensors.
