Need answers, got a 2010 street glide and want to put 12”bars on. Do I need new cables or are the oem one fine?

From what I’ve seen, a lot of riders can run 12” bars on a Street Glide with stock cables, but it really depends on how the bars are set up and your comfort with the slack. Some prefer swapping cables for peace of mind. If you’d like a deeper breakdown, this guide explains the basics of handlebar setups and what to consider when changing them: Motorcycle Handlebars 101 Guide.

I've been using this handlebar for a year, I'm impressed with this one!
I have been riding it myself and was impressed by the quality of the handlebars. The first time I tried them, they went clean with no struggle and provided me with the reach that I desired. I have operated other brands in the past, and these have also been good, but they did better than I had anticipated. Some of them are secure with stock cables on a Street Glide 12s; others replace them because they have to. It makes no difference; a good set of bars really makes the difference in the feel of the bike.
