Well, I did it....I rode my bike from my home in Seal Beach to Charleston, Ore in under 24 hours. 17:46 to be exact...and only got pulled over once by CHP. (Apparently they don't like it if you lane split on the outside...has to be between two lanes, lol)

The last 200 miles was the worst but officially I logged 1079.9 miles @ 61 mph average.

The bike did great....the GPS....I wish Harley did a better job of documenting it. I went to their trip planner, planned out all my gas stops and imported that to the gps, knowing there was a 9 waypoint limit. I was only at point 8. When you import it, it uploads all points as individual "trips"....8 of them. Ok. So when you select a "trip", 1 thru 8, it expects you to be at the starting point of that trip, which is the ending point of the last trip. Otherwise it feeds you directions to go to that starting point. It took me some time to figure that out and I finally was able to go into the menus for THAT trip and direct it to skip that waypoint.

Great job. I am planning to do the iron butt next year. This year has been to busy with work and the rides i do are preruns scooing out areas to ride. To many people who dont pay attention to riders.
