A friend of mine from a different forum is missing. He is from Pittsburg, Kansas. Last seen or known whereabouts was Sikeston, MO.

Need help please. Larry Weaver is missing. He was last seen in SIkeston, Missouri Sunday. He is missing and his bike is missing. Bike is a 2010-2013 black Streetglide. Bike is a little unique as it has some Pan Head Medallions on the saddlebags. If anyone sees Larry Weaver or his bike please call Detective John Nelson of the Sikeston, Missouri Police Department at (573) 471-4711 or email at jnelson@sikeston.org. These pictures were taken Friday in Townsend, Tennessee. Larry left Saturday Morning and was in SIkeston on Sunday. Please share as much as you can and get the word out.

From his wife on
He was on his way home from TN Sunday night and we talked around 8:20 from
Sikeston, MO where he was staying at Days Inn. He never arrived home Monday and never called. He's always good to call. When they checked his room Monday his possessions were there...wallet with money & cards intact, cellphone, helmets, etc. Bike is gone and Larry is gone. I fear abduction.

His wife's contact info, Regina: gina49@sbcglobal.net

Wow sorry for your loss prayers for you and the family to get through this.

Wishing safe travels for everybody through the summer and be aware of your surroundings.

You just never know anymore.

Thanks Guys.

Today was a difficult day for those that knew Larry.

When you talk of someone and say that they would not harm a fly, that truly was Larry. The most caring and nicest person you could meet.

Larry, bottom row in the middle. I am directly behind him.

Me and a few of my LEO friends and we have come to the conclusion that we would rather spend the rest of our life in jail knowing we shot some scumbag MFer trying to steal our bike(s) than have this happen to us.

a quote from a friend:

"Recent events have convinced me that all of you need to get a gun and carry it. Practice with it, learn to use it and carry the damned thing. There is trash out there willing to take your property and or your life."

Terrible Mudflap. Sorry for you and your friend. What are the authorities saying? As probably many of us, I've stayed in hotels alone when riding. I usually bring the Beretta in when me.

I haven't been on here for a while and this is the first post I see. WTF. I just travelled through that area. I guess it's time to carry everywhere. There are some limitations in certain states, so be aware. My thoughts and prayers to the friends and family. Be safe my brothers and sisters.

I believe and live this everyday since I was robbed at gunpoint many years ago. Just in the last 2 weeks I added an AR15 and a Glock to my collection and I carry everyday! On July 1 TN invoked a law that if you have your CCW and are injured by an armed Perp in any business that posts No Guns Allowed signs, then THEY can be held liable and sued for your injuries. It's a big bad ugly world we live in today and people need to prepare and educate themselves. Ultimately, it's your choice to do so or not, but I am comfortable with mine!

Just keep it conceiled until you need it...and don't give the law a reason to pat you down. If I'm in a state where I can't legally carry and my gun saves my life, I'll gladly deal with the red tape. I think the area that are prohibited are the areas that you'll potentially need it the most.

Nothing much at this time. still looking for the 3rd person involved. I hope the bastards get the death penalty tho.

They got the 3rd guy. This is a hard reminder that there are animals out there with no regard to others lives and that you should be always vigilant, regardless of local law!

Wow. Unbelievable. What a waste, to lose your life over a motorcycle.

Be careful out there, you'all.

Again, so sorry for your terrible loss Mudflap. This brings up a few questions/reminders:
- was the bike covered ?
- did it have security/locked ?
- how were they able to move it ?
I don't how the authorities were able to catch them, but great job by them.
Note: I went to Austin recently and forget the bike key. I didn't feel comfortable just leaving it covered and with security. I stopped at the Round Rock Harley and picked up a Orange disk brake lock for added peace of mind. Any deterrent is helpful. I've try to put myself in that situation and would I pull the trigger, or let them have the bike, its insured. But hard to know what you'd do in the heat of the moment.
Be Safe our there..
