saddlebag guards

HI all, I'm new around here, just bought a new 2014 Street Glide. I was thinking about buying a set of saddlebag guards. Couple of questions. First do they protect the exhaust pipes too. Its hard to tell from the pix I've seen if they will contact the ground before the pipes. Second have any passengers complained about the back of their calves hitting them.

FJH- First welcome aboard!!
I added them to my '14 SGS and it was an easy install. My main reasons were side protection and also important-IF you drop your bike it gives you a place to grab along with the handlebar to pick that sucker back up!

Pipes, bags how about legs if you have to lay it down. Been there and they allow you to slide away instead of the bike laying on your leg. Ground down bars can be changed!
