I've been looking at different touring bikes lately and came across this comparison between the Victory Cross Country and the Street Glide. It was a pretty balanced read and covered things like comfort, performance, and touring features instead of just saying one bike is better than the other. For those of you who've actually ridden both, which one would you take on a long trip, and why?

That victory bike gets really hot. I would have to go with the Street Glide. Also, they don't make the victory any more 
Yeah, that's a good point. The fact that Victory is no longer making bikes definitely changes things when it comes to parts and long term ownership. The Street Glide is hard to argue with for that reason alone.
My Streetglide is tweaked to fit me perfect in every way, i.e. different handlebars, seat, windshield, etc. I would have to say though that the Victory bikes were beautiful machines.
That's exactly it, once a Street Glide is set up just right it's tough to look at anything else. Victory really did make some beautiful machines though.
That's a solid comparison. When you're looking at long-distance comfort, both of these bikes have a loyal following for a reason, though the ergonomics on the Cross Country always felt a bit more spacious for taller riders.
The problem will be when you need to order parts IMO, Victory LONG Gone with no dealer Support, Street Glide has dealer support and every inde bike shop in town has parts to fit and knows how to fix it!
Nothing against Victory but in 2026 I would not be first in line to buy anything that the BRAND is no longer in business or If I did I would know and accept the risk.
