I just completed my first 1k service. Glad to have it over with since I have rides planned and don't want to sit around waiting on the shop. This is not about the service itself (which was excellent, but about an observation I had while riding the 2017 SGS. Noticed what appeared to be acceleration surging while on the highway. Not being used to riding with the batwing fairing I thought it may just be turbulence from the trucks or windy conditions. I'm off of a VTX Honda with a windscreen and didn't notice it. It's a definite accel/decell feeling. Anyone experience this?

Not on mine. Does it idle rough? Did it do this BEFORE the 1k??
I would have the dealer check it out, could be a dangerous issue while riding/braking.

No but I have a 15. In my opinion the 1K service is an oil change and the ability for HD to check their work to make sure they did not make any mistakes. Just my opinion but what other vehicles do you own that need a 1K service. Having said that I did it.
Thanks
Greg

This may seem a silly question, but since you've had the bike only 1000 miles and came from riding a different bike...
Did you get playing with the zillion buttons and accidently engage the cruise control?

I took a 750 mile trip this weekend and I think it's just turbulence on the road from trucks or SUVS. I guess the front fairing makes the turbulence a little more noticeable. Thanks for the replies though.
