Hello. recently my street glide was unable to stop. At 50mph I attempted a panic stop on dry pavement and I traveled 200 feet . It felt like I had no front brakes and if any very little back brakes. The back brake very lightly attempted to apply at the 200 feet mark. Now I get a loud clunk in the rear possible under the seat on all braking now. The front brake has done this two other times in the last 10,000 miles. I am not riding it now till this gets worked out. I have found several articles saying the HCU or ABS assemble can prevent the front or rear brakes from applying all together. Little help guys.

I would trailer it to the Harley Dealer, and get it looked at. Not something you want to be messing with

When did you last change the brake fluid? I just changed mine for the first time and it looked pretty bad (2014 bike).

When we did my bars last summer we changed the oil in the front brakes as we changed all the lines to the ABS ECM. Couldn't believe how black and dirty that brake fluid looked and the clutch side was even worse. Something we should all think about is changing this oil or have it changed at a dealer for better response from the system. As nasty as mine looked it could be a safety thing down the road.

Just my 2cents
