I purchased a 2019 FLHXS on the first day the new 2019s arrived. I traded in my 2014 FLHXS which had 36,000 miles. She gave me excellent service with no problems. On the 2014 I had Fulsac headers, open breather, screaming eagle tuner, and slash V & H slipons. I thought it sounded great. But truthfully, all that with the dealer dyno tune wasn't quite worth the $2000 in performance gains looking back. The 2014 had the otherwise stock 103. The new Street Glide has the M8 114. I think the 114 is about equal, or slightly better, than my 103 was when I traded it in. I think all I want to do on the 114 is to make it sound like a Harley. Way to quiet now. I am torn between the S&S M45 slipons and the Cobra Neighbor Haters based strictly on what I have been able to read in forums and other info on the net. I don't want stupid loud, just a Harley that sounds like a Harley. I know previous to the M8s, Slipons only did not require tuners or changes to the bike's computer. What are your experiences for slipons only on the M8s. Do I need to retune? What slipons are working well on the M8s? Ideas and thought are appreciated.
