It is +4 if mounted with the -4 side out.
+4 side is advancing the crank gear, retarding cam, should be opposite.

Have you seen a photo of an Andrews -4 ignition advance sprocket? I wonder if the engraving is in the same location as the +4 sprocket? I was thinking about doing this mod, but don't know if I should, seeing as how I will be dropping another tooth on the front pulley when the bike goes back together.

I am not a motor builder, so I cant answer your question.
Typically the 4 degree gear is used to raise or lower the compression slightly and move the power right or left slightly. I am told it help some cams more than others.
I see your from KC. Joe Lyons at Rawhide HD did the tuning and will remember this gear problem. He is very knowledgeable and would be a good person to ask.

Thanks bulldog68, I'll keep that in mind. I definitely want to do all that I can to bring the power on earlier, whether it be done solely with the pulley, or coupled with an ignition advance gear. Did you do a before and after dyno comparison to see what gains were made? Are you also running cams?

You guys are talking about cam drive sprockets. Don't confuse them with cam drive gears - the advance angles are different for each.
