As we remember the anniversary of this monumental event, I thought I would share a dose of reality with our news media today about what is really newsworthy.

Father-N-Law has a character, stormed the beach that day.. Ended up POW in Belgium for a time. Brother-N-Law took him back to tour the country for the D-Day 50th Anniversary in '94. He said total strangers, french men, would walk up and hug him with tears in there eyes.. Sounded like a memorable trip back in history..

Please pardon my language, but, Effin A. The media and a lot of Americans could care less about important days in history. The only thing they ask is, do I get a day off work. Thanks for the post Mojo.

This country has its priorities up its ass...

Thank you for sharing, unfortunately most folks in the United States today truly have no clue just how many lives US troops touch through their service. I for one will never forget just how lucky I am to be a citizen of the USA and the opportunities that we have as part of our democracy.
