Exhaust mods

I am new to this Forum so don't be alarmed if I ask stupid questions.Due to bad knees and possible knee joint replacements I will adding a mechanical reverse this year to my 09 FLHX.I have Vance&Hines Pro pipe and love the system.The two suppliers I've talked too both agree that I might have to shim out my exhaust about 3/4"inch to make this work or go back to a stock exhaust which will need no modifications.Has anybody run into this situation any advice would be helpful.Thank you.

I would check with some triglide owners as the trikes come with reverse.

I'm an authorized trike dealer and have installed reverse on several bikes. The reverse kit will extend your trans. about 1.3". Sometimes there are no modifications needed to the exhaust. You can visually look at your configuration and decided if you have the clearance for the kit without modifications
