Good, Better, Best Video Camera?

Last year I bought a cheapo Emerson Electronics Go-Pro imitation and while the price was good, the specs on the camera were good (1080i), after using it a few times on the bike, it just doesn't make very good videos. It has both 640 and HD modes and I've tried both. The 640 mode is much too grainy and the HD mode takes up a lot of memory. The last time I used it, it was doing some weird things. I've tried attaching a short clip but can't seem to get it to work but I get a lot of "waveyness" throughout the video like your watching it from an old fashion 8mm.

What is a good video camera in your opinions? Thanks.

I personally use a gopro 3 black edition but its pricey and you need a decent computer to edit the massive files it outputs.

A friend in the club uses the new small gopro which is less expensive and has all the features of a full size gopro. Might be worth having a look at that. He also uses a Sena bluetooth headset which a built in camera and the quality is pretty good on those.

I haven't seen the results from one of the chinese knockoff GoPro's but im tempted to give them a try as a rear facing camera.

I just bought a GoPro Hero Black4 and is is unbelievable. I just bought several mounts for bike and 4 wheeler to use it on. Have foneva lot of searching and think it is the best option as well as all of the support. What lityle I have used it already, I will say the filescare big in size and I built a dedicated computer for audio and video and have had no issues yet.

I also agree that GoPro is the way to go, a bit expensive but there are tons of options and accessories for it out there and it's small enough to fit anywhere and powerful enough to capture excellent pic/video's......can't go wrong with it.

Agreed cracking bit of kick especially the new smaller version.

+2 on the Hero 4 silver. I use it on the bike as well as scuba diving. It can take a beating and still deliver the goods.
