New hard saddlebag locks for 2017

Harley is replacing the quick disconnect type locks with screw-on type locks. All the 2017 Street Glides I saw tonight at the unveiling event at my local dealer had these on:

As far as that looks like it protrudes, I don't think it will be a big hit....or will it?

Yes they protrude quite a bit.

I took a close look at these, not only do they protrude quite a bit but to get them off you have to turn them about 10-12 rounds to get them off. You can do better at your local Lowes or Home Depot for replacements.

I like them better than the ones that fall off. It has to be somewhat of an improvement.

They are still too easy for theives to remove.

A few mate's with 2016 Ultra's and Streetglides here in Aussie have changed over to bagger bolts....
I suppose it makes the mounting bolts a little more permanent....
I have a 2017 SGS and am leaving the factory setup,for now anyhoo's..
