New plug on new street glides.

So I ask a question the other day about the 3 pin plug for charging and was told it was a euro plug . Found out the extra hole is for heating gear . But can find any heating gear to plug into it. I know it simple to just to change it out to a 2 pin plug: but why would Harley put it on and not have the accessories to plug into it ..anybody know where to find that type of gear…. Thanks…

I don't know who said it was for heated gear, but I find that hard to believe. Your best bet is to not worry about the extra hole. The 12 volt heated gear that I have looked at, all have just the 2 pins. I, myself, have battery powered heated gear with spare batteries for it. Don't have to worry about plugging in and disconnecting.

I got the 2 pin I can put on .. want to find what gear or stuff that intended to plug into this ..and a guy at the Harley dealership told me it was for heating gear. There putting this plug on all the new touring bikes

Same plug as on my 21. You'll drive yourself nuts trying to find out what gear or accessories fit that third hole.

I think It's a 5 Amp SAE connector. Harley sells a 5.0 amp charger that uses the extra hole.
Lower Amp chargers only use 2 connections.
