Tank emblem repositioning needed

I just installed chrome tank emblems . The left side looks great but the right side needs repositioning. Its too low and not angled right. Any advice on how to safely remove so I can reapply? I destroyed the stock emblems when i removed them a few months ago. Thanks

Heat gun and patience.

yes... patience....

IF you can't save the adhesive tape... head to local auto parts house and get the 3M high strength molding tape.... stuff is fantastic.... comes in various widths as well....

Use a length of fishing line or dental floss after the heat gun....

Thanks everyone. I finished the job. It was very warm in Hawaii so all I had to do was use the dental floss and within 5 minutes it was off. I used the molding tape then reinstalled.
