It's been just shy of 8 long weeks ( 5 Oct ) since I have been truly able to walk on my own since knee surgery... it feels great to hang them up for good. The last two weeks have been assisted walking with them adding more weight to my leg every couple of days.

I'm a bit early getting off, but I can't take it anymore... it feels good with a slight bit of pain in one area where most of the intensive work was done, but i can walk! and YES... I can get the bike off the jiffy without pain.

It's still very week in some aspects, as I cannot squat with full pressure, kneel or even get up steps with it yet, so I still have a long road ahead to get back to full operation.

Just wanted to share my excitement! WOOOHOOO!!!

This is really good news Spazz. But, don't be too hard headed, meaning don't push it. Overcome that weakness before you push too hard. Many a recovery becomes a setback because we try too much too soon. Congratulations and enjoy being free of the crutches. I went through a lengthy ACL and cancer treatment. Those were two tests in my life. Again, Congratulations!

Good news Todd...............You have got to be so happy!!

The Human body is an amazing thing and they way it heals and adapts (with time) is nothing short of amazing...........enjoy every bit of the recovery and more importantly how GREAT that first ride is gonna be

I may be a bit CRAZY... but... I'm getting on and gonna go in a few hours....

Says it's 6 degrees.... and FEELS LIKE 6 degrees... IT MUST BE 6 degrees... LOL!!!

Congrats Spazz! Enjoy your ride! I have never ridden in that kind of temp before. I usually don't ride below 25 as my ride lives outside unfortunately. That kind of temp does not help the 20w50 flow well.

Good news to hear brother just be careful and take it slow. Thinking I may wait until it's 10 degrees so it feels just a little warmer lol

Thanks all!! Just got home... just above 30 now... MAN WHAT A RIDE!!!

Happy for you Bro. Now we can start thinking and planning our next adventure!

YES!!! my ride was great even though it was a bit cold... first time in a long time I wore my modular helmet.. LOL!!! Feels good to get out and ride... open her up and FLY!!!

Congrats!

I keep a modular full-face in the tour pak for those unexpected showers......... and those not-so-unexpected cold rides in the mornings.

We've alread been down to the high teens here in East Tennessee last week. This week, we have highs in the mid to low 60s... but rain. Hey, I'll take rain and 60s over teens any day!
