Who has, or will race their SG or RG when challenged?

I'm curious as to how many SG and RG owners have responded to a race when challenged (in a remote; Area 51 type of location of course)? My brother and I had a chance to get after it recently. His 2017 SG CVO (has a cam, full V&H exhaust and FP3 tuner), vs my 2015 107ci SGS (mods listed in sig.). We did one run from 2nd through 5th gear, during which I let him jump first and then hit mine and pulled hard on him. He later told me that I had put 4 (+ my bike) lengths on him. We also repeated the process from 3rd through 5th gear and the results were the same. I must say, I didn't expect to pull on him like that, as his bike seems super fast and has gobs of torque. My bike was also in full dress mode (bags and tour pack), whereas his had the bags removed. The two bikes offer up two totally different rides when compairing the M8 to the TC.

I will do it anytime and or anywhere it's safe enough to do it. It doesn't matter what kind of bike or what size motor they have I will give it a shot. And my little 103 does hold its own pretty well.

For me, having raced cars and bikes down the 1320, I find it very hard to walk away from a challenge. I imagine the majority of us guys probably feel that way. What is the biggest cubic inch Harley you've beaten?

Well i can get a 110 Harley, and I know Spazz would agree but I had his 120 up to about 110 mph but as we hit 3rd gear he came up on me. I will say it was before he got his power vision tho, so it was pre tune. Can't wait to see how our next adventure goes, let me tell ya Spazz also loves to twist that throttle.

That's good fun stuff right there! Let me know how it goes after you two line up again.

What kind of numbers are you pulling from your 107? I Sumer we got to be fairly close with the jump you got on your brothers CVO.

Pretty sure we all have the competitive nature about us or we wouldn't be on these bikes. I see an engine build this winter for me if I can wait that long.

Not sure on the numbers for this build, but when I had the 10.25:1 flat top Pistons in, I made 109 rwhp and 106 rwtq. I now have 11.0:1 6cc domed Pistons in the motor and I'm pretty sure the numbers are even higher now.

I don't know what it is about this bike... The flat black with the red pin stripe, the low, wide and slammed look from the back, or what - but I've noticed muscle cars really want to get me to race. I've had two other Harleys, and don't remember this happening.

How have you fared against them. Or do take it on challenges

Oh, I can hang. I'm getting even better with understanding the shift points on the bike, and to downshift while keeping throttle open slightly.

You know it Brother... you had me! I will say that Baggerjay pulled really hard to 3rd... that scoot ain't no joke.

Since that time... tuner, wideband 02 module and D&D.. I can't wait for the next time.

When Baggerjay and I get together, all h ell breaks loose!

I have run a few cars up to around 130 and walked away from them with ease... it's fun to look at their face when I pull up to the window, look in.. smile... and roll on by...

I normally don't go looking for a race but I have ran it a time or two. last RK CVO I ran It looked like he hit the brakes. I hadn't ran anyone with the Stroker yet but I was ridding beside a muscle rod and the group hit it from a roll , when we stopped the muscle rod owner sad he was giving her all she had and looked up and seen me with one hand on the wifes leg and the other hanging on the aps cruising and he couldn't pull away .I told him I was taking it easy until I finish my break in then I was going to turn her loose..

Well, thanks for askin'! Naw, I'm not interested in racing anyone on my touring bike. If I was so inclined, I'd be gettin' me an FXR...the concept of getting a touring bike to go racing on has always mystified me, but hey...to each their own!

I hear ya Yarddog. I actually didn't build mine to race it either, but I did build it, so that it could get out of it's own way. The stock motor just didn't do it for me and it needed bigger nuts. Now it's ready to rock and roll and yes I will race it occasionally if challenged, although I prefer touring on it more than racing it.
