Anyone change their cams and lose about 4 to 5 miles a gallon afterwards? Don't smell like it's running rich but gas mileage has really dropped off, kinda expecting little drop off but not this. Just curious if anyone has ran into this with their cam change!!!
 
More power does not necessarily mean more fuel. Your tune is the first place I'd start.
I installed Woods 777 cams, 2-1 exhaust and a more open breather last year. My mileage was still the same as before. 38-41 on average. The new map was from Fuel Moto.
 
Buckshot, how is the bike performing since you got it back from FM? Did it produce good numbers on their dyno?
 
I ended up out of town for a few days. I pick her tonight after work.
According to Bob, at FM, she came in on the base run at: 96/109 with just the 777 cams.

With the 107 jugs, 10.5 pistons, level B heads and their tune in came off the dyno at: 114/128

It's close to 110 lb. ft. of torque at 2500 RPMs all ready.

She should pull really nice.
