In light of the stock decline, decrease in sales of bikes, and talks of layoffs I wonder what 2016 will bring for the brand that we all here on SGF love.
I've heard things like marketing investments and product changes and maybe some new dealerships.
Curious to hear from some of the older salty dogs on here and what others might of heard or know of.

I think that is something we like to think about in the winter, Financially HD is doing better than expected and holds 55% of U.S. motorcycle market share. I think HD's new (49 state approved, need one more) 120ST (not 120R) motor, could be the next game changer. maybe it will become the new CVO motor, and 110 for base model. the below link is an interesting article on it. I would be curious to see why HD spent the effort to develop a 120ST which is similar to the 120R motor, without production line implications.

Putting Harley aside...I think the writing is on the wall for another recession, worse than 2008. You just cant burn money like the feds do and not pay the piper eventually.

Looks like there are a lot of differences in the 120ST over the 103/110 setup too!

The 110 has already showed up as a standard engine in a couple of the bikes. The Rumor from my Dealer is that the 120 is the next CVO motor and should be 2017 with the 110 becoming the standard.

It seems like Harleys trend to make the cvo motors standard after a few years, so I could see them making the 110 standard soon. I guess time will tell whether their new 120st will be the cvo motor or if they'll take some intermediate step like a 117.

As far as the economy and it's impact, I don't know enough to comment. I hope it doesn't dive, I'm actually hoping for a raise after I complete my building operator certificate. I work for a hotel so my job is very dependant on disposable income.

I have one share of HD stock my dividend check is .22 to .31 cents a quarter:rolleyes:

I hope they don't go with the 110 as standard engine for a couple of reasons. #1 We don't need the bikes costing more than they already do. With a bigger engine comes a bigger price tag. #2 The 110 in my opinion is not that good. It runs way hotter and the 103 pretty much does all it can with a very little tweaking.
It Wouldnt hurt my feelings if they done away with the 110 all together and went with 103 and 120.
